FOR PARENTS & OTHERS IN THE PLAYER’S FAMILY
GET IN THE GAME – VOLUNTEER TO HELP
When you volunteer, you become an important part of Little League. Without you, we simply could not provide this quality form of recreation. A lot of the reward is just having fun, but the rewards also include the knowledge that you are giving back to the community, and showing support for our children. It will provide the opportunity to meet and form friendships with others who share your interest in the safety, well-being and development of children.

No experience is required to become a volunteer. Many of the opportunities require little or no training, and for those that do we will provide the support (and encouragement) . You can volunteer to help in virtually any aspect of Little League Baseball.
The League
Rocky Mountain Little League Little League relies on a small legion of adult volunteers to ensure that the organization remains structured and runs smoothly. We are always looking for responsible and enthusiastic people to coordinate and support the League. What you see at a League game represents only a fraction of what you can do as a volunteer. We need lots of folks to run the show “behind the scenes”, and their contributions are vital to the season’s success. Fill in you name in some boxes on the registration form, call 252-5070, or talk to any member of the Board. We want you involved.
The Team
You will meet your child’s team manager (baseball term for “head coach”) and other coaches sometime in April.. The men and women who volunteer for this important role have more in common than their dedication to the children – they all need help. Some are very good at requesting help, and outlining exactly where help is needed. Many are not as good at this – so please step forward and offer. A Little League season is fairly short, but a team does become very much like a “family” during that time, and, like in all families, things run better if everyone pitches in a little bit. So, if your child’s coach seems uncomfortable in making the request, please “step up to the plate” and offer to help. You will make it a better season. You will enjoy it and the others will definitely appreciate it. Your team will need a scorekeeper for each game, as well as parents to help with field preparation and equipment, snack schedule, and uniforms. We also need a safety parent for each team, to be responsible for providing very basic first aid (a first aid kit is present at all games) if a situation should arise.
